VAN - Two members of the Turkish armed forces were wounded Friday in a clash with elements of the terrorist group the PKK in the eastern province of Van.

According to security officials, the two men were wounded in fighting in a remote region of the mountainous province. Both soldiers were evacuated to the city of Van for medical treatment, said officials.

One member of the PKK was killed in the clash, officials said.
