The president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will meet his Greek Cypriot counterpart Demetris Christofias at a reception to be held at Ledra Palace Hotel on Wednesday.
The following evening, President Talat will attend a dinner hosted by Nicos Anastasiades, the leader of the Greek Cypriot Democratic Rally Party (DISI), at the latter’s home. Former Greek Cypriot leader Glafcos Clerides is also expected to attend the dinner.
President Talat’s spokesman, Hasan Ercakica, said on Tuesday that the meeting between two leaders should not be regarded as a summit. The reception at the Ledra Palace was a social activity, he said.
