Late on Monday, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn arrived in Ankara to take part in the Turkey-EU Troika Foreign Ministers meeting, to be hosted by Foreign Minister Ali Babacan.
Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, representing the current holder of the EU’s rotating presidency; French Secretary of State for European Affairs Jean-Pierre Jouyet and European Council executives are also expected to attend the meeting.
Among the topics expected to be covered during the meeting are Turkey’s progress in impleneting reforms required to met the EU’s membership criteria, along with international and regional political developments.
